Scientists Team Up to Keep Nitrates on Fields

Matthew Helmers is an associate professor of agriculture and biosystems engineering at Iowa State University and a Principal Investigator with the Sustainable Corn project. He is working with teams of scientists who are field testing promising strategies to keep nitrogen fertilizer on farm fields, using a systems approach.
